Testing Chimichurri Salt on Eggs

A kitchen note from Gaucho: our Chimichurri Salt test batch, a pan of eggs, and seasoning work in progress.

We’re testing our seasonings in the kitchen. Here, it’s Chimichurri Salt and a pan of eggs.

The jar says Test Batch. Its label lists sea salt, oregano, granulated garlic, parsley and crushed red chile. In the pan, you can see the seasoning scattered across the eggs.

This is a small look at the work behind Gaucho: taking a blend out of the jar and onto food. We want a seasoning that earns its place beside the stove, where it will actually be used.

Chimichurri Salt is still in development. For now, we’re sharing a moment from the testing.
